MADNESS PHOTOGRAPHY

Madness Photography started as an official, serious company in 1998.
But the history of Madness Photography started long before. Onno “Berserk” Wieringa, founder and owner of Madness Photography, has been a self-taught photographer since he was a little kid and started to take pictures of something he loved since the day he was born: motorcycles!

His motorcycles
After he finished high school, he started working for various Harley-Davidson shops, where he learned to work on bikes. At the age of 17, he already owned two Triumph’s and when he was eighteen he had four Triumphs and a Suzuki GT 750. After getting his drivers license, when he was eighteen, the Triumphs all had to go and were replaced by a bike that he had wanted since the day he was born; a Harley-Davidson. This bike is still in his life; it’s an FXE-F 1200 Super Glide Fat Bob, which has been rebuild and modified endlessly and ridden for many miles. Going everywhere on the bike, there was one thing he always had in his pocket; his camera!
At the age of 23 he started drag racing, and he and his team named “Midnight Madness”, raced the bike on all the major races and drag strips all over Europe. He has competed in many classes; starting with the Street bikes, than Ultimate Street Bike, Super Stock, Pro-Stock, and then finally in the fastest gas burning class; Top Gas! Also again taking thousands of photo’s of everything interesting, at every racetrack! Being a racer for more than 18 years gave him insight in the world of fast bikes, and he’s still involved in the world of drag racing as a helper/mechanic and of course photographer / reporter.

Skid Row to Kick Off 38th Sturgis Buffalo Chip®

Skid Row to Kick Off 38th Annual Motorcycle and Music Festival at Sturgis Buffalo Chip®

“The Best Party Anywhere!”® parties on the wrong side of the tracks with the heavy metal opener on Friday, Aug. 2, 2019.
The 2019 Sturgis Motorcycle Rally will kick off with head-banging, heavy metal sensations Skid Row on the Buffalo Chip’s Wolfman Jack Stage on Friday, Aug. 2, 2019. The band is one of the best old-school hard rock bands to come out of the 80’s, having sold over 20 million albums, and they’ve continued to take audiences on their heavy metal journey ever since.

“We’re kicking off the 79th Sturgis Rally with a super cool, heavy metal explosion,” said Rod Woodruff, Sturgis Buffalo Chip President, “It’s easy to book some cheap, no-name tribute band for opening night, but that’s not how we roll at the Chip. We’re powering off with world-class, fan favorite, hard rock stars.”
Skid Row blasted onto the heavy metal scene in the late 1980’s, releasing two critically acclaimed albums, “Skid Row” and “Slave to the Grind,” which took off like a rocket and landed with certified multi-platinum status at no. 1 on the Billboard 200. The band has produced two top ten singles, “18 and Life,” and “I Remember You.” They were awarded American Music Awards “Favorite Heavy Metal/Hard Rock New Artist” in 1990.

The 38th annual festival noted as “The Best Party Anywhere” will open with a pre-rally party July 29 - Aug. 1, 2019, with official festival dates running Aug. 2-11, 2019. Performers announced so far include:

Friday, Aug. 2             Skid Row
Saturday, Aug. 3         Keith Urban
Monday, Aug. 5          Styx

We'll take you to burn - May 24-26, Eisenach, Germany

We'll take you to burn

Vom 24. bis zum 26. Mai steigt am
Flughafen Eisenach-Kindel das Hellfire Bike Weekend
• Neuer Biker-Event am Tor zum großartigen Motorradrevier Thüringer Wald
• Probefahrten, Dragster- und Stuntshows, Bullriding sowie Burnout-Contest
• Starkes Musik-Line-up mit fünf Bands
